Style
His style consists of mainly portraits of LGBTQIA+ folk. The lighting often appears coming from the person’s right at an angle to their face. Sometimes there is a blurred background but it’s usually just a black background. iO Tillett Wright’s portraits often seem to focus on the person’s facial expression. The angle he takes the photo is mainly head on but there a few that are at different angles.

Philosophy
His goal of taking pictures of anyone who does not identify as 100% straight was to humanize a vast community with the simplicity of faces. He was trying to tell everyone with each photo that there is no one way to be human. He politically stands with an open mind and with his project he hopes to erase the boundaries of human sexuality. He is embraces being who he is and makes an effort for others to do that as well to himself, others and themselves. He also applied intersectionality with the LGBTQIA+ community such as size, shape, and races.

Influences
He influenced mainly my technique of taking portraits. My technique was mainly was getting an angle that contains enough details to determine what the photo is, doesn't cause much glare, and the resolution issn't too blurry. I have now added focusing on what I want to show with the imagine. And by that I mean for example, if it were a portrait I would try to capture their facial expressions or any indication that shows an emotion of something that isn't too distracting and is relevant to the emotion. And also I learned how a solid or neutral background can really help bring out a message and bring more into focus.

Personal Artist statement
All the images were taken in my new house. The first image is of my dad standing in front of a black background. The second is of my mom's boyfriend, who has helped me with this class. And the last is my sister being goofy. Each of them are expressing some sort of reaction to the new house whether it be happy or excited.

Compare and Contrast
His images are have a more solid black background. And his images are show more of the whole person while mine is more a torso. Mine have less white in the image than his. Both of our images appear to be well composed. And I think both of ours have a similar lighting.
